Private Messaging - Adding a group

Go to Add -> Private Messaging -> Groups -> Add Group.


Step 1 - Add Group

Complete the form fields


Title

Enter a group title. This will show in the list when sending a message


Class Group

Check this option if the group should show in the class list


Lock Group

Contacts from this group can not be removed by group removal (only available to School Web Design team). This should only be used for staff groups etc to avoid accidental removal.


Access

Choose who should have access to send messages to this group.


Click Save

Step 2 - Add Contacts to the group

If the contacts are already on the system click the "Contacts" button next to your new group.


Now check the box beside the contacts you want to add to the group.


If they are new contacts you can add a new contact a choose the group when adding. For more information see Adding a Child and contact
